What is Vaisakhi?

Vaisakhi (also spelled Baisakhi) is the festival which celebrates the founding of the Sikh community known as the Khalsa

Second Sikh Parade was held at Guru Nanak Prakash Gurudwara (99 Fwy Gurudwara) in Fresno despite the rainy weather forecast. They were approximately 15,000 people who  attended the parade this year, twice the population of last year. Across the roads near the gurudwara,  free food (langar) was served all day on the occasion of Guru Nanak’s birthday. We were there to capture the sikhi spirit, here are photos of the event.
